I just think it would be cool if we could make out own themes so that when we go from the dashboard to the desktop the background stays the same, also when ever I change my wallpaper it doesn't stay!
Getting slightly annoyed with losing my backdrop every single time I switch :(
Please respond Pi-top people.
Turns out the only way to change the background persistently is by setting it in the 'theme' settings of the dashboard.
This however does not allow you to select a custom image. But if you don't mind breaking stuff there is a way to get a custom image in there.
The wallpaper images are saved in directory "/usr/share/pt-artwork/img/wallpapers/".
If you overwrite one of the images in this folder with your desired image, it will be selectable in the dashboard settings. You need root permissions to mess with this folder, so sudo is your friend.
How do you transfer files using terminal?
