If we install a different OS, is there a way to install CEED Universe again?
Or do we have to stay with pi-topOS?
i have not found a way to get ceed universe on another OS, but i did find a way to install pi-top OS on a regular raspberry setup(monitor, pi ,key board, mouse, SD card).
Flash SD card with pi-top OS.
Keep SD card in the computer that you used to flash it and open it on a file explorer of any kind.
Go to the config file and copy and past it into a idle window if you have it installed, if not it will just be a bit harder but still doable.
find the part in the file where it says :
"# uncomment to force a console size. By default it will be display's size minus
Take away the # from the lines "#framebuffer_width=1280 #framebuffer_height=724"(if you do not have idle the text i am showing here will look like this:)
"# uncomment to force a console size. By default it will be display's size minus # overscan. #framebuffer_width=1280 #framebuffer_height=724"
After you take away the # from the lines, change" framebuffer_height=724" to "framebuffer_height=1024"
After that, check to make sure that the lines:
"# uncomment to force a HDMI mode rather than DVI. This can make audio work in
# DMT (computer monitor) modes
have the line "hdmi_drive=2 " hashed like this "#hdmi_drive=2"
After you have done all that it should work on a regular pi setup.
So basically, you are saying to make the same thing as a pi-top and then do it?
